About the role
Lead UX/UI Developer
ContractorHUB — Remote / Nashville, TN — Full-time
About ContractorHUB
ContractorHUB is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that gives home-services contractors (roofing, siding, HVAC, solar, and more) one place to run their business — pipeline, projects, production, people, and performance. We're a small team shipping fast, and we care deeply about building software that non-technical field users actually want to open every morning.
The role
We're hiring a UX/UI Developer to design and build the interface of our product. You'll own the work end-to-end: Figma one day, Tailwind and Livewire the next. No handoff, no translation loss. If you've ever been frustrated watching a beautiful design get butchered in implementation, this role fixes that — because you're doing both.
Our guiding principle is "3 clicks or less." Every workflow, every screen. If it takes more, we redesign it.
What you'll do
Design and ship UI across our admin and tenant app panels
Translate complex contractor workflows (pipeline boards, project detail pages, scheduling, estimates, dashboards) into interfaces non-technical users can operate without training
Build components in our stack: Livewire 4, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS v4
Own the design system — shared components, spacing, typography, iconography, color tokens
Design for every state: empty, loading, error, edge-case — not just the happy path
Make it work beautifully on mobile and tablet (our users are in the field)
Partner with founders early, refine in code, and push back when something looks good but doesn't serve the user
Run lightweight user testing with real contractors and iterate on what you learn
You probably have
3+ years designing and building production web interfaces
Strong Tailwind CSS (bonus for v4 / CSS-based config)
Fluent HTML, modern JavaScript, and comfort reading/writing PHP/Blade
Figma mastery — components, auto-layout, tokens
A portfolio of dense, data-heavy SaaS UIs (not just marketing sites)
Real eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy, and density
Accessibility fundamentals (WCAG AA, keyboard nav, focus states, contrast)
Bonus points
Filament, Livewire, or Alpine.js experience (rare — we'll train the right person)
Designed for field workers, trades, or other non-technical operators
Multi-tenant SaaS patterns (theming, white-label, role-based UI)
Motion/interaction design
Email template or PDF/print layout design
Advanced data visualization
