ContractorHUB wasn't born from a pitch deck or a trend analysis.
It began with a moment in life when the things we typically chase—growth, numbers, milestones—became quiet in the face of something far more real.
At the end of 2022, Matt lost his wife, Laura, after a three-year battle with breast cancer. She was 35.
Grief has a way of changing what you notice, what you value, and what you believe your life is for. For Matt, Laura's illness and passing made one truth impossible to ignore:
Time is precious. It's finite. It's a gift that can't be saved—and once it's given, it can't be taken back.
In the months after, Matt found himself asking a different kind of question—not just about business, but about purpose:
If time is all we truly have… how should we spend it? And how could he use his skills to make life better for other people?
That reflection became a turning point.
Matt began to see leadership differently. Instead of obsessing over metrics as the center of everything, he began focusing on what those numbers often represent: people—their effort, their stress, their families, their hopes, and the hours they'll never get back.
He came to believe something that now sits at the heart of ContractorHUB:

This focus remains at the center of the solutions we build and the work that we do. We don't believe success should come at the cost of everything else. So, as a testament to Laura and her time here with those she loved, we built something that helps people spend more of their life, living.

Matt Parks is the Founder and Chief Product & Innovation Officer of ContractorHUB. Over the last 20+ years, he has helped scale businesses across roofing, HVAC, remodeling, landscaping, and other trades—first as a marketing consultant, then as an operator responsible for results, systems, and team performance.
Matt helped grow a Tennessee roofing company from $6M to $19M in three years, building the operational structure needed to support that level of growth. He's also an experienced Laravel developer, which allows him to translate real-world challenges into practical, easy-to-use software.
That combination—operator experience and hands-on product development—is what makes ContractorHUB different. It isn't built from theory.
