Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of ContractorHUB (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP and our Terms of Service. We may update this AUP from time to time; material changes will be communicated in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for your use of the Platform and for the conduct of anyone who accesses the Platform using your account. You must ensure that your use, and the use of your authorized users, complies with this AUP and all applicable laws.
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Platform to engage in, encourage, or assist any of the following:
Illegal and Harmful Conduct
- Violate any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
- Engage in fraud, money laundering, human trafficking, or other illegal activity.
- Threaten, harass, stalk, defame, or intimidate any person or group.
- Promote, incite, or facilitate violence, terrorism, or hate speech.
- Exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way.
Intellectual Property Violations
- Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property right.
- Distribute, sell, or license content that you do not have the right to share.
- Upload unauthorized copyrighted material. See our DMCA Policy for copyright complaints.
Security and Integrity
- Upload or transmit viruses, worms, malware, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or systems connected to the Platform.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or circumvent any authentication, rate limit, or security mechanism.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or disable the Platform, its servers, or networks connected to it.
- Use the Platform to launch denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
Spam and Abusive Communications
- Send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or other messages ("spam").
- Send messages to individuals who have not consented to receive them or who have opted out.
- Violate the CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, 10DLC requirements, CASL, or any other anti-spam or telemarketing law.
- Use the Platform to send messages that contain false or misleading headers, identifiers, or content.
- Harvest, scrape, or collect email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information without consent.
Data and Privacy
- Collect, process, or use personal data in violation of any applicable privacy law (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, COPPA, etc.).
- Upload personal data you do not have the right or consent to process.
- Use the Platform to profile individuals in ways that violate applicable law.
- Upload protected health information (PHI) unless you have a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with us.
Platform Misuse
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Platform or access to it without our express written permission.
- Use the Platform to operate a service bureau, time-sharing service, or similar offering.
- Share account credentials with unauthorized parties or allow multiple individuals to share a single user seat.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Platform without our prior written consent.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, branding, or attribution in the Platform.
High-Risk Activities
- Use the Platform for activities where failure could result in death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage (including operation of nuclear facilities, life support systems, or critical safety systems).
- Use the Platform for stock trading, credit decisioning, insurance underwriting, or similar regulated decisions without appropriate human review and compliance oversight.
AI-Specific Restrictions
- Use AI features to generate content that deceives, manipulates, or impersonates another person.
- Represent AI-generated content as human-authored.
- Use AI outputs to train or fine-tune competing AI models.
- Use AI features in a manner that violates OpenAI's Usage Policies or any other applicable AI provider terms.
Content Standards
Content you upload or transmit through the Platform must not:
- Contain defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, or hateful material.
- Contain sexually explicit material, including content depicting minors in any sexual or suggestive context.
- Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristic.
- Violate the legitimate privacy or publicity rights of any person.
Enforcement
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor and investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine in our sole discretion that you have violated this AUP, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Removing or disabling access to offending content.
- Issuing a warning.
- Suspending your access to the Platform or specific features.
- Terminating your account and deleting your data (subject to our data retention obligations).
- Reporting the violation to law enforcement or other authorities.
- Pursuing legal remedies, including seeking injunctive relief or damages.
We will, where feasible and appropriate, attempt to contact you before taking action so you have an opportunity to cure the violation. However, we may act immediately without prior notice for serious violations, violations that threaten the Platform or other users, or violations required to be acted upon by law.
Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is using the Platform in violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@contractorhub.app. Please include:
- A description of the violation.
- The account, content, or URL involved.
- Any supporting evidence (screenshots, message IDs, timestamps).
- Your contact information so we can follow up if needed.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email at least thirty (30) days before taking effect, except where immediate changes are required for security, legal, or regulatory reasons.
